The Powerball jackpot of $700 million had one winner in Massachusetts.
The game jackpot, which had been growing since the June 10 drawing, was offering a $700 million annuity or $443.3 million in cash, according to a statement from the Pennsylvania Lottery on Wednesday.
The jackpot was the lottery game’s second-largest ever, behind only the $1.6 billion pool in January of 2016, which was shared by three winning tickets, the statement said.
An additional around 9.4 million additional players won prizes that totaled more than $135 million.
If the jackpot had rolled over, the prize annuity value would be advertised as $1 billion, the statement said.
Instead, it was reset to $40 million.
