Facebook has a market cap of $490 billion, more than 2 billion monthly active users and more than 20,000 employees. It also happens to have a data center in Prineville, Ore., which was in the path of eclipse totality on Monday.
The company put a time lapse camera on the building’s roof and got some spectacular shots of the sun completely covered by the moon.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared three of those epic images of the solar eclipse on his personal Facebook page.
They’re pretty wonderful.
Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg shared the photos as well, calling them “gorgeous!”
The company also partnered with NASA to live stream the first solar eclipse to travel coast to coast over the U.S. since 1918.
